The High Sheriff of Dorset Mrs Jennifer Coombs is backing our Surviving Winter Appeal which helps older people keep warm and well during the winter months. Mrs Coombs explained: ‘As an Ambassador of the Foundation, I am urging local residents to donate their unwanted Winter Fuel Allowance to help a local older person in need. Donations raised through the Surviving Winter Appeal will help older people keep warm and well. Last year generous donations to the Appeal raised £25,000 helping hundreds of older people – your donation this year can save someone’s life’.
The Appeal re-launched on 17th November and has already raised over £7,000 including a large donation from a charitable trust. To donate, please click here.
