As Dorset welcomes refugees escaping the war in Ukraine, Dorset Community Foundation is encouraging donations to the Dorset Welcome Fund.
Dorset Community Foundation has established the Dorset Welcome Fund to support all refugees seeking a home in Dorset, including those newly arrived from Ukraine.
The Dorset Welcome Fund provides a single point for collection of donations from individuals, families, businesses, charitable trusts and other organisations wishing to support refugees in the county. Dorset Community Foundation will distribute these funds to charitable groups within Dorset who support those refugees in need. These funds will provide a broad range of assistance and support, from the provision of essential items to educational support and community integration.
While the fund is specifically designed for refugees, the projects funded will not exclude asylum seekers as the challenges faced by all are complex and deserving of our support.
