Bournemouth Communities Fund was set up by transferring several Trusts from Bournemouth Borough Council to provide funding for Bournemouth’s bicentennial year celebrations. The funds aims are to support Bournemouth based charities and community groups who provide vital services to support communities within Bournemouth.

The initial transfer of funds was invested in an endowment fund and the yield distributed in the form of grants to Bournemouth based projects each year.

In 2015 the grants from Bournemouth Communities Fund will be distributed through the Neighbourhood Fund as the chosen priority for the fund this year is older people. For more details on the Neighbourhood Fund please click here.
